Fashion Gore: Justin Bieber?

Looks like Justin Bieber is on the Fashion Gore train! Okay, okay, not really, but I'm still in love with the photoshoot he did with Complex a few months back where he's boxing and spewing blood. He's also getting bloody for his upcoming music video.

Anyway, continue after the cut to see the rest of the Complex shoot! I mean come on, fans and haters alike should be pretty down with seeing the Biebs being beat up and covered in blood.

Beautylish!

That's right, I got featured on Beautylish for my makeup line Swagger! If you haven't read it yet click the image to see the amazing interview I did with Stella Rose!

It's pretty weird to see my face on such a big site. I'm truly flattered-- and lucky! I'm also seriously overwhelmed by all the positive reception I've gotten so far-- Thank you everyone for your support!

Light of my life, fire of my loins

I just had a long and amazing 24 hours! On Friday I went to a lolita meetup and then went clubbing afterwards with one of my childhood best friends! We had a ridiculous night of bouncing from bar to bar and club to club because he didn't have an ID. I'm not sure how we managed to get so sloshed despite that!

Initially I was somewhat worried that I couldn't figure out an outfit that was appropriate for going to a lolita meetup AND clubbing in, but it really wasn't too difficult.. or different from what I normally wear. I'm not a really a lolita, but I do adore lolita style and take heavy inspiration from it! I was also initially worried that I wouldn't fit in since I'm not a real lolita, but all the girls were extremely nice and it was great to hang out with other frilly people!

At the meetup:

This is Shannon, she just got her master's in Chicago! She was super sweet and although you cant see it here, she had on perfect glowing makeup.

Merri was the cutest thing! She brought her boyfriend, who was very sharp and dapper. We accidentally ordered a HUGE amount of lychee shoju, but got it down like pros.
I'm completely in love with this girl! She looked completely perfect, and there was so much attention to detail in her outfit-- from the perfectly matching colour palette of all her pieces to matching themes such as an antler necklace and her fur muff. The ombre tights also really pulled it together. Everyone I met looked amazing, but I think she was downright flawless.

Hell'a Tight

I went to probably the BEST party the other night that I have been to yet in SF! It's hosted by the amazing and beautiful Lindsay Slowhands, who is a sweet, hilarious, fierce queen with a stunning lithe figure that I would die for!

Anyway, there's very little music that I love more than 90's pop, so I was in pure BLISS dancing the night away to N'sync, spice girls, and the one and only song by TATU. Lindsay gave a killer performance to Britney Spear's Oops, which in my opinion is her best song. Actually, I take that back, because I like pretty much ALL Britney songs of that era. Hey, what can I say? I'm a total fag.

I am definitely going to be regular at this-- and if anyone has any recommendations for any other 90's themed parties let me know!
My gorgeous friend Jem Jehova also performed. Every time I see her I'm completely floored by her beauty!

Kitty Kitty Bang Bang

I had the immense pleasure of hanging out and shooting with one of the raddest bitches in Seattle, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang before I left. This queen is F.I.E.R.C.E.! She was a performer at Julia's on Broadway for almost two years, which is home of Seattle's longest running celebrity drag impersonation show. It's very, very prestigious for a drag queen to perform there, and they just about never hire biologically-female drag queens. This girl sings live (she's got one of the most wicked set of pipes I've ever heard), is an absolute top notch dancer, and has the most ridiculously perfect hourglass figure...And to top it all off has an absolutely fearless, infectiously bubbly, and unabashedly loving personality. We bonded immediately over our love of lingerie, glitter, and what it's like to be hyperfeminine in the modern age.

Anyway, she is SUCH a dream. I wish we had met sooner! We had such a great day. Check out the rest after the cut!

Follow me on Instagram!

Follow me on Instragram under @BlakeKaramazov (I know, I know, please at least attempt to contain all your jealous for my obviously superb creativity). Despite constant force-closing on the Andorid app, I refuse to miss out on the fun any longer! Also, I need somewhere to put all the silly photos I take of myself, right?

Fashion Gore Photoshoot

This is the last photoshoot I did before I left Seattle, and it could not have been better!

I had this idea for what seemed to be ages, and it turned out absolutely perfect. The photographer Jiamin Zhu was an absolute delight to work with, and I don't think I could have picked a better model than my friend Kay LaRose.

Everyone knows that I'm obsessed with what I call "fashion gore." What is fashion gore? Well, let me first go over what it's not. It's not gross, painful, funny, or meant to make your stomach churn. It's not horror. It's not supposed to be realistic. I want to use something that is usually negative, but make it beautiful. Yes, it may still be a little macabre, but I feel that first and foremost it's supposed to be beautiful.

So my idea was to make "jewelry" out of blood/gore pieces. Eventually I hope to have an entire series of these, with different types of jewelry.

Happy Fourth of July!

I love holidays! I don't really care what they are, but they're always an excuse for me to pig out and dress up! I remember a couple years ago it was absolutely steaming hot on the 4th, so we went out to the park in our skivies. Apparently, however, my holiday style hasn't changed one bit.

This year, I got to gogo at bootycall, one of my favourite parties in SF! I had such a blast! It was even more packed than usual, and I loved this week's photobooth! I mean, it doesn't hurt that I was more or less obsessed with JFK when I was younger (I've seen Stone's portrayal of his death and the investigation that followed several times-- and that movie is longer than Kennedy's entire term!), or that my top girl crush Lana recently came out with her music video for National Anthem, which pays homage to his legacy as well.
